LIBERANDOS is a sonic bridge between two worlds. At its core, the duo (Adam Lindquist and Ben Mabry) engages in a unique act of musical translation: taking the hypnotic, rhythmic traditions of North Africa and Indian chant and reimagining them through their Southern roots background.
Debut Single — March 20, 2026
Blood Orange is built on a cycling guitar and bass motif. The arrangement adds layers of pulsing, intricate strings and winds, providing a cinematic scale while keeping the track’s organic grit. The almost-soulful vocal performance maintains a constant tension throughout, finally leading into a heavy, psychedelic climax.
Thematically, the song emerged from what singer and lyricist Ben describes as “scattered digital ephemera” — odd phrases and images saved for later. The track contemplates the moment of realization in a doomed relationship; that point where sheer will is exhausted and something supernatural breaks through. In the song’s “garden,” the act of eating the blood orange signifies a reversal of the Eden narrative: it is not a fall from grace, but an awakening into clarity and freedom.
